Addison Trail Music Department to offer Madrigal Dinner

Take a step back in time, as the Addison Trail Music Department invites you to enjoy a Madrigal Dinner filled with music and entertainment from the Renaissance period.

Choir Director Jeff Nellessen said the event will take place on Nov. 20 in Addison Trail’s auditorium on the stage. It will feature about 10 songs performed a cappella (no accompaniment), and the pieces will showcase 22 Concert Choir singers and a brass quartet. There also will be a theatrical skit. Students will wear costumes to portray the time period.

This is the first time in more than 10 years Addison Trail will offer a Madrigal Dinner. Doors will open at 6:30 p.m., and dinner will begin at 7 p.m. Tickets cost $15 in advance or $20 at the door, and proceeds will benefit the Addison Trail Choir.
