District 88 participates in Village of Addison Rock ‘n Wheels events

Throughout the summer, the Village of Addison is hosting Rock ‘n Wheels events on Thursday evenings.

The events feature food; music; and bike and car cruises/contests with trophies. During the June 19 Rock ‘n Wheels event, Addison Trail students who traveled to Italy this past spring through the Addison-Triggiano Sister Cities student exchange program were featured. Students had to apply to the program, and chosen students and families committed to hosting a student from Italy this past fall. Addison Trail hosted students from Il Cartesio High School in October 2013.

Fifteen Addison Trail students participated in the program this past school year. On June 19, two of those students, Brianna Sitkowski and Camden Knights, joined Sister Cities President and former Addison Mayor Larry Hartwig on stage to talk about the program. Students also had a booth with information about Sister Cities.

District 88 also will attend the July 31 Rock ‘n Wheels event, which will feature tacos and music by Señor Groove. Come on out and learn more about the district.
