When this season of the TV show “Survivor” premieres at 7 p.m. Feb. 26 on CBS, one of the cast members might look familiar to Addison residents and Addison Trail alumni.
Addison Trail alumna Alexis Maxwell, class of 2010, will join the Beauty Tribe on the show this season, called “Survivor Cagayan: Brawn vs. Brains vs. Beauty.” This season, the castaways will be broken up into three tribes based on brawn, beauty and brains. While Maxwell said she never expected her audition tape to be selected, she’s thrilled at the opportunity to compete on “Survivor.”
“I have always been aware of my role in a group and know how to lead in a sneaky way,” Maxwell said on her cast biography at http://tinyurl.com/krb9na8. “I will use my education and flirty personality to assure I’m always in a good position.”
She added her dad inspired her to try out for the show.
“He loves the show so much …,” Maxwell said on her cast biography. “I’m playing for both of us.”
Maxwell is a student at Northwestern University and is studying organizational change and psychology. She also was Miss Addison in 2009.
“My strongest asset is my background in psychology,” she said on her cast biography. “I have studied and experimented with group dynamics and understand how to play a specific role in a group. I would consider myself a brain, (as) I work (hard) at Northwestern and consider this an accomplishment that defines me.”
