On May 13, members of the Addison Trail class of 2026 were recognized for their achievements and outstanding academic and athletic successes during the school’s Senior Recognition Assembly.

The student emcees were Emily Moy and Mia McGovern. Principal Jack Andrews also welcomed the audience and congratulated the honorees.
During the event, students were celebrated for winning scholarships, being named as Commended Students in the 2026 National Merit Scholarship Program, being recognized by the President’s Education Awards Program (PEAP), earning State Scholar status, being named as Outstanding Senior department award recipients, being named as District 88’s Best recipients, receiving the State Seal of Biliteracy recognition and/or the State Commendation toward Biliteracy recognition, qualifying for state-level and national-level competitions and more. The Addison Trail Blazer Battalion U.S. Army Junior Reserve Officers’ Training Corps (JROTC) program also performed a Color Guard and the Blazer Battalion Change of Command.
The 2025-26 Addison Trail and District 88 staff retirees were highlighted as well. They are Michael Bolden, Lynda Jrab, Maryellen Marisie, Janelle McHugh and Steve Nelson.
