Addison Trail Boys Volleyball Team hosts fundraiser to support mental health

On April 24, the Addison Trail Boys Volleyball Team hosted a “Volley for NAMI” event to raise funds for NAMI DuPage, whose mission is to provide support, advocacy and education to improve the quality of life of individuals with mental illnesses and their families. The organization is an affiliate of the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI). For more information, go to https://namidupage.org.

The games included a faculty match and an alumni match.

Proceeds were collected through food sales by Addison Trail’s NAMI on Campus club, concessions, donations and raffle baskets (which were provided by local businesses and Addison Trail faculty members, clubs and families). The program will give $2,272.37 to NAMI DuPage.

Faculty and students also volunteered to help run the fundraiser. The Addison Trail Boys Volleyball Team looks forward to continuing this annual event.
