On April 14, nine Addison Trail administrators and staff members presented during the College Board “Prepárate™: Educating Latinos for the Future of America” conference in Chicago (pictured above).

At the (event), participants discuss new solutions, share best practices and collaborate with colleagues to make a difference for Latino students.”
Addison Trail’s topic was “Hispanic Student & Parent Engagement, Empowerment & Enrichment … Together!” The group shared how the school uses a team approach to successfully connect with students, families and community. They discussed programs, clubs/extracurricular activities and events that have been implemented to foster belonging among students and families. This includes programming for Spanish-speaking parents/guardians, cultural celebrations, supports for newcomer students and more.
