On March 19, six Addison Trail students who are part of the school’s “Bucky Makes It” microbusiness participated in an Inclusive Creations Fair at Forest View Educational Center in Arlington Heights. They are junior Antoniese Vaughn-Pitts, junior Muhammad Ansar, sophomore Mariana Landinez Rodriguez, senior Valeria Grageola, senior Francesco Conforti and sophomore Justin Ruiz.
During the event, they sold handmade wood signs, blankets, keychains and more.
The fair provided an opportunity for student-run microbusinesses, as well as local entrepreneurs/businesses who/that support individuals with disabilities, to showcase their unique creations. Participants not only sold their items, but they also gained hands-on experience to develop vital skills. The event took place to raise awareness and support and empower entrepreneurs with disabilities.
