On Feb. 20, 12 seniors competed in Addison Trail’s "AT's Heartthrob," which was sponsored by Student Council and raised money for the American Heart Association.
Contestants participated in a group dance, performed a talent, demonstrated their Blazer Pride, escorted a parent/guardian in a formalwear portion and competed in a question-and-answer section. Acts included magic tricks, comedy, singing, dancing, playing an instrument and even a movie boxing scene.
Below are the 2026 "AT's Heartthrob" participants:
“I feel like the biggest thing I did to stand out was when I brought the saxophone out,” Cardona said about winning the title. “Being able to combine singing, piano and playing saxophone was a good way to not only share some of my skills, but to represent AT in a way that means more than just having a talent, but being able to do a variety of things and having so many things to offer.”
The judges for the competition were Addison Trail English teacher Lucas Brennan, English teacher Amy Brown, English Department Head Amy Ferraro, math teacher Colleen Kane and Career and Technical Education (CTE) teacher Nicholas Villasenor.
The hosts for the evening were seniors Giulia Ariano, Mallory Keller and Madelyn Koufalias.
