This semester, Addison Trail art and photography students have been creating pieces that are displayed on a rotation in a “hallway gallery” at the school (pictured above).
Through this project, students curate their work, which involves selecting, organizing, caring for and presenting their items. The space serves as a critique zone, and pupils gather as a class or in small groups to reflect on and analyze the artwork.
The exhibition provides students with an opportunity to showcase what they’re doing in class in a professional context. This brings real-world art practices into the classroom and allows students to develop skills and have experiences to help them be college and career ready.
