From April 10 to 12, the Addison Trail Softball Team traveled to LaSalle County for a unique athletic and educational experience.
The team played games against Ottawa Township High School, LaSalle-Peru Township High School and Wilmington High School. While in the region, the team also explored the Illinois River, as well as the historic Route 66.
The team visited Starved Rock State Park and Matthiessen State Park; took a tour of the Illinois Waterway Visitor Center (which is owned and operated by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers) to learn about the lock and dam system; and visited several Route 66 sites.
“The girls really represented the best of Addison Trail,” said Mark Olson, Head Coach of the Softball Team.
