Helpful tips for the summer:

  • Students who are enrolled in an Advanced Placement (AP)/college-level course should be sure to get the summer work. This information is available on the department webpages at We highly encourage students to start on this work early and not wait until the end of summer.

  • If you received an incomplete and need to make up a final exam, contact the main office at 630-628-3306 to schedule a time to complete the assessment.

  • For incoming seniors (members of the class of 2025):

    • Build your wish list of colleges, and go to their websites to see when the application process will open. Try to visit a college during your summer vacation.

    • Update your résumé.

    • Find sample essay questions to help you prepare for college applications.

  • Summer is a time to rest and relax. However, take some time to find a book of your choice and read to help stay in tune with your studies.
