Mental health and social-emotional supports/resources available to students
The safety, well-being and health of students and staff is our No. 1 priority. We know building relationships precedes learning, and we continue to focus on connecting with all students. For students to achieve academically, we must first meet their needs outside of the classroom – including providing mental health and social-emotional assistance.
About 50 languages and more than 30 countries are represented among District 88 families, and almost half of our nearly 4,000 students speak a language other than English at home. The district’s core values include ensuring all students, staff and community members feel safe, valued, respected and welcome. Read more about available mental health and social-emotional supports/services at www.dupage88.net/Supports.
The group also visited SWD Inc. in Addison (a recognized leader in the Metal Finishing and Fastener Sorting industry), the Addison Consolidated Dispatch Center (ACDC) and the Addison Police Department.
