On April 21, Addison Trail Orchestra students had the opportunity to meet with Addison Trail alumna Diane Mues (class of 1978), who has been a violist with Chicago Symphony Orchestra since 1987.

During her visit, Mues performed for the students, answered questions and gave a masterclass. According to https://cso.org/about/performers/cso-musicians/strings/viola/diane-mues, Mues participated in Chicago Youth Symphony Orchestras, where she earned the principal viola chair. She received her bachelor’s degree from DePaul University and was principal viola of the Civic Orchestra of Chicago while in college. She also was awarded the Louis Sudler Prize in the Arts.
