On Oct. 11 and 20, biology students at Addison Trail visited Lincoln Park Zoo to bring classroom learning to life.
Students were able to observe animals they’ve been studying and walk through the zoo’s exhibits to witness animal behaviors and environments.
During first semester, pupils enrolled in biology focus on the Africa Storyline, which covers topics such as animal behavior, energy requirements, food webs, macromolecules and photosynthesis. Being able to see many African animals in person was a great experience that linked directly to the school curriculum.
