Addison Trail students visit Illinois Holocaust Museum & Education Center

On April 6, 15 Addison Trail students in teacher Annette Severino’s English 10 Bridge Program classes visited the Illinois Holocaust Museum & Education Center in Skokie. Dean Alejandro Guzman attended as well.

The class recently read and discussed the novel “Night” by Holocaust survivor Elie Wiesel, and the field trip was a way for the students to experience what they read about and empathize with those who are being oppressed. The museum’s theme is “Take a Stand” against injustice, and treat people with respect.
