Addison Trail alumnus has record-setting football season at The University of Chicago

Addison Trail alumnus Nick D’Ambrose (class of 2018) had a standout season at The University of Chicago, where he is a running back on the Men’s Football Team.

D'Ambrose is a senior, but is eligible to compete for one more season because of the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic.

D’Ambrose set the following team records this year:

• Single game touchdown record (five)
• Single season rushing record (1,714 yards)
• Total touchdowns in one season (20)
• Single season rushing touchdowns (20)
• Season yards per carry record (7.4)
• Career yards per carry record (6.7)

D’Ambrose also achieved the following national results for Division III football:

• 1st place in rushing yards
• 5th place in rushing touchdowns and yards per carry in a season
• 9th place in total touchdowns

D’Ambrose also was named to the All-District Academic Team. He is pursuing a pre-med track at The University of Chicago and has a cumulative GPA of 3.7.
