Addison Trail world language teacher featured in ‘Fra Noi’ Italian magazine

Addison Trail world language teacher Judie Vitiritti-Lynch (pictured above) was recently featured in the October publication of “Fra Noi” magazine, Chicagoland’s Italian American Voice. See the article at https://franoi.com/community/ap-college-board-elevates-vitiritti-lynch/.

Vitiritti-Lynch was highlighted for being named as a National Advocate Lead with the AP Advocates Program. She has taught Advanced Placement (AP)/college-level courses at Addison Trail for nearly 15 years, which led her to become an AP Advocate in 2014-15 and the State Advocate Lead for Illinois in 2016-17.

As a National Advocate Lead, Vitiritti-Lynch will continue to:

  • Build and establish a network of teachers to initiate, moderate and analyze online and in-person discussions that develop policy recommendations for supporting and expanding AP

  • Share knowledge and resources with the teacher network and appropriate stakeholders

  • Create and cultivate relationships with policymakers to help them better understand teacher views to present teacher-generated solutions on key state and federal AP policy and funding issues

  • Collaborate with other Advocate Leads

Vitiritti-Lynch also was the first recipient of the Midwest Award for Leadership in the Teaching of the Italian Language and Culture in November 2016. Read more about that honor at https://www.dupage88.net/site/page/6162.
