Addison Trail students interview first responders to honor and remember Sept. 11, 2001

On Sept. 11, Addison Trail senior Andrea Acosta and junior Mateo Gomez interviewed first responders with the Addison Police Department and the Addison Fire Protection District.

The event took place to honor those who protect and serve in remembrance of Sept. 11, 2001. The students asked the representatives to share their memories of that day and what it means to them. The interviewees were Director of Police Timothy “Bill” Hayden, Police Officer Brian Porta, Police Sgt. Doug Olson, Fire Chief Scott W. Walker, Deputy Fire Chief and Addison Trail alumnus Erik E. Kramer and Battalion Chief Brock Herion. To watch the segment, click the video above.
