This week, District 88 continued to host Public Information Meetings and Community Presentations to share information about a possible funding proposal that could appear on the Nov. 3, 2026, ballot to address facility improvements at Addison Trail and Willowbrook high schools, including safety and security upgrades, addressing aging infrastructure, ADA accessibility and improvements to Career and Technical Education (CTE) spaces.

The potential proposal would fund these essential updates at both facilities without a net tax rate increase. This is possible because District 88 has existing referendum debt that will be paid off after levy year 2026, and the district has limited the proposal to the absolute highest-priority needs

The most recent meetings took place on May 11 at Willowbrook and on May 14 at Addison Trail. The district also hosted a community presentation for the Addison Park District on May 14 at Addison Trail to share information about the bond proposal.

More Public Information Meetings are scheduled, and stakeholders are encouraged to attend. See the schedule and registration link below.
