On Oct. 12, Addison Trail will host its sixth annual Kermes (Latino food festival) as part of the school's Hispanic Heritage Month celebration.

The event is sponsored by Addison Trail’s Interact Club and Padres Latinos en Acción group and will take place from 4 to 7 p.m. at the school, 213 N. Lombard Road in Addison.

The Kermes will feature traditional Latino dishes, as well as live entertainment, raffles and family-friendly activities. Admission is free, and food tickets cost $6 each. Proceeds will go toward scholarships for Addison Trail students.

And be sure to come early for the 2 p.m. performance of Addison Trail’s fall play, “Anon(ymous),” before the Kermes, or come to the Kermes before the 7 p.m. show! Read more about the play at https://www.dupage88.net/site/page/11219.

A discounted meal and drink ticket will be available for $5 for those who attend the play. And those who attend the Kermes will get $1 off their play ticket for the 7 p.m. performance that day!
