Addison Trail Best Buddies to participate in Friendship Walk

The Addison Trail Best Buddies will participate in the Friendship Walk on April 13 at Adlai E. Stevenson High School in Lincolnshire.

According to www.bestbuddiesillinois.org, the Friendship Walk is the latest and greatest life-changing movement created by Best Buddies. Since 2009, more than 40,000 participants have walked in more than 22 states and raised more than $3 million for Best Buddies. Ultimately, the Friendship Walk changes lives, as participants walk for inclusion, friendship, leadership and opportunity for people with and without Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD).

Proceeds from the walk play a fundamental part in funding state programs, which provide one-to-one friendships, leadership development and integrated job opportunities for individuals with IDD. Those programs will create promising opportunities for more than 350,000 people this year.
