Seniors were treated to a catered meal and heard inspiring reflections from BEYOND BOSS alumnae Mekalah Haywood, Aniyah Walker and Tia Kelly, who shared powerful insights about their first year in college. Their stories offered encouragement, practical tips and a glimpse into life after high school.

Each senior received a custom class of 2025 water bottle and a graduation stole. District 88 Student Success Coordinator Dr. VaLarie Humphrey also gifted the students a special token of appreciation to remind them just how proud she is of their growth, resilience and leadership. The event was a memorable send-off for the seniors as they prepare for their next chapter.

The focus of the BOSS Club is to:

  • Increase awareness of and appreciation for Black American history, culture and issues

  • Promote a genuine multicultural environment on campus

  • Increase awareness of and access to post-secondary options for Black American students
