Addison Trail Boys Volleyball Team hosts fundraiser to support mental health

On April 25, the Addison Trail Boys Volleyball Team hosted a “Volley for NAMI” event to raise funds for NAMI DuPage, whose mission is to provide support, advocacy and education to improve the quality of life of individuals with mental illnesses and their families. The organization is an affiliate of the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI). For more information, go to https://namidupage.org.

The games included a faculty match and an alumni match.

Proceeds were collected through concessions, donations and raffle baskets (which were provided by Addison Trail faculty members, clubs and families). The program will give $2,000 to NAMI DuPage.

The following local businesses donated to help cover the cost of T-shirts and supplies for the event.

  • Addison Cowboys Youth Football & Cheer
  • AYS (Addison Youth Sports)
  • Muggs-N-Manor
  • Serino’s Deli
  • SWD Inc.

  • Hustle Strength & Performance donated 10 one-month memberships to staff members who played in the game

Faculty and students also volunteered to help run the fundraiser. The Addison Trail Boys Volleyball Team looks forward to continuing this annual event.
