District 88 Board of Education members recognized during Addison Community Inauguration Ceremony

On April 25, the District 88 Board of Education members who were elected during the April 2 Consolidated Election were recognized during the Village of Addison’s Community Inauguration Ceremony. Board members Donna Craft Cain (who has served on the Board since 2004), Amy Finnegan, Lisa Knauf and Daniel Olson were honored, along with elected officials from each taxing body in Addison. They will be officially sworn into office during the April 29 District 88 Board of Education meeting and will join Board members Thomas Edmier, Jay Irvin and Blanca Jessen.

Craft Cain, who is the current District 88 Board of Education President, thanked the Village of Addison for hosting the inauguration, applauded the elected officials for serving their community, welcomed the new District 88 Board members and shared three District 88 areas of focus from the 2018-19 school year – safety and security initiatives, implementing a new delivery model for instructional technology and updating the district’s Strategic Plan.
