District 88 Foundation invites you to participate in third annual ‘Paddle Battle’ pickleball tournament

Calling all Addison Trail and Willowbrook staff, students, parents/guardians, alumni, community members and friends!

You're invited to participate in the District 88 Foundation’s third annual “Paddle Battle” pickleball tournament! You won’t want to miss this fun-filled event!

District 88 Foundation “Paddle Battle” pickleball tournament details

What:

  • There will be two levels of play/divisions.

    • Tournament for newer players/beginners (3.0 and under)

    • Tournament for more experienced/advanced players (3.5 and above)
  • The tournament will follow a round robin (scramble) format, with six players in a bracket/on a court, guaranteeing each player five games. Participants will register as individuals and will play five games with five different partners.
  • If you would like to be placed on the same court as a specific player, please contact District 88 Director of Community Relations Dani Brink at dbrink@dupage88.net or 630-530-3989. We will do our best to accommodate your request!

  • Each court winner will be awarded a medal.

  • The winner of each division will receive a trophy.

  • There will be a raffle for prizes.

When: 9 a.m. to noon on Feb. 28, 2026

Where: Willowbrook High School, 1250 S. Ardmore Ave. in Villa Park (in the fieldhouse)

Cost: $40 a player

New to pickleball? We’ve got you covered!
Martha Wiemerslage will provide a free lesson from 8:30 to 9 a.m. for those who are new to pickleball, but want to participate in the tournament. Take a lesson, and then compete! To register for the free lesson, sign up at www.dupage88.net/PickleballFreeLesson2026. To participate in the free lesson, you also must register for the tournament.
