At District 88, our mission is to work for the continuous improvement of student achievement.

District 88 works each and every day to build positive futures for its students inside the classroom and beyond. The second-phase release of the 2021 Illinois School Report Card, which was made public by the Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE) on Dec. 2, shows the successes of District 88 and reflects the efforts of Board of Education members, staff, students, parents/guardians and community members.

The 2021 Report Card has three releases of data.

  1. The initial release on Oct. 29 included all metrics that do not rely on assessment data. We previously shared District 88’s metrics at https://www.dupage88.net/site/page/14309.

  2. On Dec. 2, assessment data was released for districts that completed assessment testing in spring 2021. At District 88, students were provided with the option to take the SAT in spring 2021.

  3. On April 27, 2022, SAT, ACCESS, DLM-AA, ISA and College and Career Ready data will be released.

Highlights of the Dec. 2 Illinois School Report Card release include:

  • Addison Trail showed an increase in the percentage of students meeting and exceeding standards in Evidence-Based Reading and Writing (ERW) and in Math.

  • Willowbrook maintained the percentage of students meeting and exceeding standards in Evidence-Based Reading and Writing (ERW).

  • As a district, our scores showed an increase in the percentage of students meeting and exceeding standards in Evidence-Based Reading and Writing (ERW), and we maintained the percentage of students meeting and exceeding standards in Math.

  • As a result of these successes, District 88 was highlighted by the ISBE in the write-up below.

“DuPage High School District 88, a Tier 2 district in the Northeast region, saw a 13 percent increase in students meeting or exceeding standards on SAT reading. From the start of the school year, the district prioritized in-person instruction for high-need students, including English Learners and students with disabilities. The district provided in-person and online tutoring, made significant investments in technology for remote instruction, conducted home visits, and concentrated on social-emotional supports.” To read the full message, CLICK HERE.

* PLEASE NOTE: The above information compares the spring 2019 SAT results to the spring 2021 SAT results (2020 SAT results aren't provided because of the coronavirus 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic). All juniors took the SAT in spring 2019 (441 at Addison Trail, and 425 at Willowbrook). As mentioned above, in spring 2021, we offered the SAT as an optional assessment for our juniors (317 students tested at Addison Trail, and 351 students tested at Willowbrook).
