Illinois School Report Card to have three releases of data

At District 88, our mission is to work for the continuous improvement of student achievement.

District 88 works each and every day to build positive futures for its students inside the classroom and beyond. The results of the 2021 Illinois School Report Card, which were released by the Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE) on Oct. 29, show the successes of District 88 and reflect the efforts of Board of Education members, staff, students, parents/guardians and community members.

The 2021 Report Card will have three releases of data.

  1. The initial release on Oct. 29, 2021, included all metrics that do not rely on assessment data.

  2. On Dec. 2, 2021, assessment data will be released for districts that completed spring assessment testing.

  3. On April 27, 2022, SAT, ACCESS, DLM-AA, ISA and College and Career Ready data will be released.

Highlights of the Oct. 29, 2021, Illinois School Report Card release include:

Graduation rate: District 88’s 4-year, 5-year and 6-year graduation rates remained above the state level in 2021. Our 4-year graduation rate in 2021 was 86.6 percent (compared to the state’s 86 percent), our 5-year graduation rate was 91.6 percent (compared to the state’s 89.3 percent), and our 6-year graduation rate was 90.3 percent (compared to the state’s 89.1 percent).

Freshmen on track: District 88 also remains above the state level in terms of the number of grade 9 students who are on track to graduate from high school, and we have been above the state level since this measure was implemented. For 2021, 86.3 percent of our freshmen were on track (compared to the state’s 82.2 percent).

Climate survey data was not collected in 2021 because of Remote Learning that took place as a result of the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic.
