Counseling Corner: Addison Trail Guidance Department partners with College of DuPage to benefit students

The Addison Trail Guidance Department is excited to partner with College of DuPage (COD) for the third year to offer students a program called the COD Connection Series. That program is designed to help streamline the admissions process for high school seniors who are interested in attending COD in the fall.

Starting on Oct. 28, COD Admissions Representative Rio Almaria will come to Addison Trail once a month to meet with students in a small-group setting to discuss an array of topics. Almaria will provide an overview of what COD has to offer, assist with completing the application and applying for financial aid and share information about the resources available to students.

In March, COD testing staff will come to Addison Trail to administer the placement exams. And in April, staff from COD’s advising department will meet with students individually to assist with registering for classes. About 75 students typically take advantage of the COD Connection Series.
