Four Addison Trail staff members to participate in Polar Plunge to benefit Special Olympics Illinois

It might be chilly outside, but that’s not going to stop Addison Trail staff members from raising money for a cause.

On Feb. 21, four Addison Trail staff members from the Special Education Department will jump into the brisk waters at Northwestern University Beach in Evanston. Jessica Sokolowski, Melissa Morales, Lisa Bollow (Special Education Department Chair) and Lynn Frazier will participate in the annual Law Enforcement Torch Run Polar Plunge to raise money for Special Olympics Illinois. In 2015, there will be Plunges in 20 locations. All proceeds collected by plungers benefit Special Olympics Illinois athletes. In 2014, more than $2.1 million was raised by more than 7,300 plungers. In 16 years, $12.3 million has been raised by more than 47,000 plungers. For more information, go to www.plungeillinois.com
