Addison Trail art students present to Indian Trail Junior High School eighth-graders

On Jan. 27, five Addison Trail art students visited Indian Trail Junior High School to speak with eighth-graders.

They presented during art classes and other exploratory classes at Indian Trail. During the visit, they demonstrated art techniques, showcased their portfolios, talked about the different art classes offered at Addison Trail and discussed what to expect in high school. The Addison Trail students who participated in this event are freshman Madeline Danhouser, senior Cheyenne Lam, junior Angelene Ori, senior Cassandra Terrill and senior Kimberly Zaragoza.

“It was a great, authentic opportunity for these students to present their artwork and verbally communicate with an audience,” said Addison Trail art teacher Maria Ramon. “I was so proud of them! These students are typically soft-spoken in the classroom, but really stepped up in a situation that was a bit outside of their comfort zone. They definitely showed their Blazer Pride while representing the art department!”
