Addison Trail hosts LTM Heroin Awareness and Support Foundation's 2nd Annual Walk-A-Thon & Fun Run

On Aug. 9, District 88 Superintendent Dr. Scott Helton and Addison Trail Principal Adam Cibulka participated in the LTM Heroin Awareness and Support Foundation’s 2nd Annual Walk-A-Thon & Fun Run.

The event took place at Addison Trail, and more than 300 people participated. The goal of the walk-a-thon and fun run was to raise awareness and funds to fight against heroin in the community. Funds raised from the event exceeded $8,000.

Participants enjoyed a resource fair, live music, door prizes and a raffle.

“District 88 is proud to be a community partner in the fight against heroin,” Helton said. “We are committed to help put an end to the heroin epidemic in the county and state and will continue to support the county and the LTM Heroin Awareness and Support Foundation to ensure the safety of students.”
