On May 29, Addison Trail recognized 18 students for their performance on the 2014 National Italian High School Examination.
The exam is hosted by the American Association of Teachers of Italian (AATI). This year, 105 schools from 20 states and Puerto Rico participated in the competition. Award recipients were chosen from four levels of Italian in three categories – Level 1 (categories A and B), Level II (categories A and B), Level III (categories A, B and C) and Level IV (categories A, B and C). Category B and category C students have more experience with Italian than category A students and are expected to perform better on the exam.
