Willowbrook Athletics names July Anyway’s Athletes of the Month

Willowbrook Athletics is proud to share Janell Adams (class of 2027) and Charlotte Baker (class of 2028) have been named as the Anyway’s Athletes of the Month for July.

Name: Janell Adams

Sport: Girls Flag Football

July successes: Adams was a dominant defensive presence for the Willowbrook Flag Football Team throughout July, leading the squad to a 2^nd-place finish at the Nike Girls Flag Football 7-on-7 Tournament. Operating as a relentless disruptor on defense, Adams constantly pressured opposing quarterbacks, forcing off-platform throws and generating key sacks and flag pulls behind the line of scrimmage. Her defensive intensity and playmaking ability set the tone for the team's tournament run.

Name: Charlotte Baker

Sport: Girls Volleyball

July successes: Baker showcased dedication and leadership throughout July while representing the Willowbrook Girls Volleyball Team. Demonstrating extraordinary commitment, Baker maintained perfect attendance at every summer training session, open gym and game for volleyball and basketball. Beyond her attendance, Baker was consistently the first athlete in the gym to help set up, and she stepped into any role or position required with positive energy and high effort. On the court, Baker made noticeable strides in her setting tempo and defensive consistency while helping her team compete in the York Volleyball Summer League.
