Addison Trail hosts State send-off celebration for members of Science Olympiad Team

On April 23, Addison Trail hosted a State send-off celebration for members of the school’s Science Olympiad Team, who will compete in the Illinois Individual State Tournament (IIST).

That event will take place on April 25 at McHenry County College and is for students who earned a medal at their Regional Science Olympiad Tournament, but whose team did not earn a bid to the Illinois Science Olympiad State Tournament.

Those students are:

  • Anatomy & Physiology: Seniors Aamina Makki and Krish Patel

  • Boomilever: Sophomores Andrew Roycewicz and Brianna Yllaconza

  • Chemistry Lab: Senior Ebad Khan and junior Rayaan Khan

  • Electric Vehicle: Junior Ian Wagner and sophomore Lincoln Lange

  • Entomology: Sophomore Michelle Roberson and sophomore Aishah Chaudhry

  • Experimental Design: Junior Ian Wagner, junior Lea Fischer and senior Maryam Chaudhry

  • Helicopter: Sophomore Andrew Roycewicz and senior Krish Patel

  • Machines: Senior Ebad Khan and sophomore Lincoln Lange

  • Robot Tour: Junior Ian Wagner and senior Maryam Chaudhry

During the State send-off, they were greeted and honored by their peers and staff members during a parade, as they marched through the hallways of the school behind the Addison Trail Drum Line. To watch the celebration, click on the video above.
