Willowbrook athletics shares exciting experiences of two coaches

Two Willowbrook athletic coaches recently enjoyed fun and unique experiences.

• On March 3, Willowbrook Boys Track & Field Head Coach Terrence Miller (pictured above) was a guest on B96 Chicago’s “Moug & Karla Mornings.” According to https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL-4pB0frqvlzk2QqDvXlY1W51AATiEeYu, “Moug & Karla are a vibrant and welcoming duo (who) wake the city of Chicago up every weekday morning from 5:30 to 9 a.m. on B96!” Miller offered advice and tips to help Karla be successful as a new track coach for an elementary school in Chicago. • This summer, Willowbrook Special Olympics coach Tara Murphy (pictured above, center) will serve as a head coach for swimming during the Special Olympics USA Games, which will take place from June 20 to 26 in Minnesota. As part of her training for that event, Murphy received instruction on March 2 in Arizona from former competitive swimmer Michael Phelps (pictured above, left), who holds the record for the most decorated Olympian of all time (with 28 Olympic medals).
