Willowbrook students participate in ‘Pizza with a Professional’ career-exploration experience

On Feb. 26, 10 Willowbrook students participated in a career-exploration experience hosted by DuPage County Area Project (DuCAP), the Villa Park Chamber of Commerce and District 88 Director of Student Career Development Iridia Nevarez. 

During the event, called “Pizza with a Professional,” students have the opportunity to learn directly from industry experts through inspiring lunchtime sessions that connect classroom learning to real-world careers. They are able to ask questions and speak with someone who is in the job area they have indicated an interest in pursuing.

During the February gathering, the featured speaker was Diana Davalos, professional barber at Prestigious Cuts in Bolingbrook (pictured above).
