Addison Trail students share their children’s books with elementary school classes

Addison Trail students in English teacher Lily De La Torre’s Creative Writing class recently completed a project where they used their imaginations to write and publish picture books.

On Nov. 19, they traveled to Lake Park and Stone elementary schools to share and read their final children’s stories. The group visited with a variety of elementary students, including a bilingual first-grade classroom and a fourth-grade classroom. To view a photo gallery, see the images above.

“It was a rewarding experience for all involved,” De La Torre said of the assignment and field trip.
