District 88 participates in Addison-Medinah Shriners Parade

On Aug. 24, District 88 participated in the Addison-Medinah Shriners Parade.

The theme of the parade was “Addison: A Community Rooted in Faith,” and the Honorary Grand Marshals were former Village of Addison Mayor Rich Veenstra and his wife, Mary Ann. The event featured 46 community units, as well as units provided by the Shriners.

District 88 was well-represented, as members of the DuPage 88 Marching Band, Color Guard, Blazer Battalion, Orchesis Team, Cheerleaders, Blazettes, Energy Rush Dance Club, Football Team and Addison Trail Veterans Support Organization (ATVSO) participated in the event.

District 88 Board of Education Vice President Dan Olson, Board Member Gail Galivan and Board Member Diana Stout rode/walked in the parade and handed out candy and District 88 chip clips, along with District 88 Superintendent Dr. Jean Barbanente and Addison Trail Principal Jack Andrews.
