Willowbrook’s U.S. Army Junior Reserve Officers’ Training Corps (JROTC) program participates in Lombard Lilac Parade

On May 18, Willowbrook’s new U.S. Army Junior Reserve Officers’ Training Corps (JROTC) program (which was implemented earlier this school year) participated in the annual Lombard Lilac Parade. For details about the event, go to https://lombardlilacparade.com.

During the parade, 12 Willowbrook students (or cadets) marched and displayed their skills. They were led by Cadet Battalion Commander Joseph Biundo (class of 2027), Cadet Executive Officer Teresa Farquhar (class of 2026) and Cadet Command Sergeant Major Tyler Zita (class of 2028).

“It was a great success, and the cadets had a wonderful time,” said Lieutenant Colonel Mike Reardon (Senior Army Instructor). “I am very proud of how they performed.”
