Four members of the Willowbrook Speech Team have qualified to compete in the Illinois High School Association (IHSA) Sectional Tournament, after competing in the Regional Tournament on Feb. 9 at Fenton High School. Sectionals will take place on Feb. 15 at Downers Grove South High School.
Those students are (pictured above, in the order in which they're listed):
Dramatic Interpretation: Senior Margaret Brennan (earned 2nd place at the Regional Tournament)
Humorous Interpretation: Senior Jason Nelson (earned 4th place at the Regional Tournament)
Original Comedy: Junior Suha Salman (earned 2nd place at the Regional Tournament)
Original Oratory: Sophomore Alina Iqbal (earned 3rd place at the Regional Tournament)
Radio Speaking: Junior Suha Salman (earned 2nd place at the Regional Tournament)
The team finished in 4th place at Regionals, and the students below were named as Finalists.
