Willowbrook Speech Team presents annual Regional Showcase

On Feb. 4, members of the Willowbrook Speech Team performed during the school’s annual Regional Showcase. To view a photo gallery from that event, see the images above.

The showcase featured the 14 Speech Team events that will compete in the Regional contest. Willowbrook’s Regional will take place on Feb. 8.

Impromptu Speaking: Senior Margaret Brennan

Informative Speaking: Sophomore Aila Qaiser

Oratorical Declamation: Sophomore Mia Ojeda

Original Comedy: Junior Suha Salman

Original Oratory: Sophomore Alina Iqbal

Poetry Reading: Sophomore Emma Beres

Prose Reading: Junior Malachy Heneghan

Radio Speaking: Junior Suha Salman

Special Occasion Speaking: Sophomore Emelia Gzamouranis

The team also competed in a tournament on Feb. 1 at Yorkville High School and finished in 5^th place out of 21 schools. Below are the team’s results from that event.
