Willowbrook students, staff continue to show giving back is a cornerstone of pride

At District 88 and Willowbrook, giving back is a cornerstone of pride.

The district and school strive to develop within students an understanding of the importance of helping others through volunteering and hosting/participating in a variety of events.

Members of Willowbrook’s Key Club and Student Council recently demonstrated this focus by providing donations to York Township.

On Dec. 2, Key Club brought a bus full of nonperishable food items to the York Township Food Pantry, which were collected through the club’s annual food drive.

On Dec. 5, Student Council gave presents and gift cards that were collected through the group’s annual Warrior Project. This year, the project adopted nine families with a total of 25 children through York Township’s Adopt a Family for Christmas program.
