  • Presentations showcased the following careers: physical therapist, attorney, social worker, digital media director, Realtor, civil engineer, legislator (state representative), software engineer, Army recruiter, detective, barber, actor, TV news producer and writer, firefighter/EMT and fire chief.

  • About 160 classes attended the presentations. The goal was to connect class instruction to real-world career possibilities.

“I am so proud to belong to a community that values giving back by inspiring, educating and mentoring our students,” said Iridia Nevarez, District 88 Director of Student Career Development. “Seeing individuals who once walked the same halls achieve success made postsecondary goals feel attainable for many of our students.”
