You’re invited to attend the fall 2024 Willowbrook Athletic Hall of Fame Induction Banquet and festivities

Founded in 2010, the Athletic Hall of Fame celebrates the athletic and personal successes of standout Willowbrook student-athletes, coaches and contributors. A screening committee comprised of current and former coaches, staff members, Athletic Booster Club members and community representatives selects the Willowbrook Warriors who are inducted each year.

Willowbrook is excited to share the event will now be hosted during the fall season (instead of winter), to coincide with the school’s homecoming festivities. This year’s Athletic Hall of Fame Induction Banquet will take place on Sept. 19 at The Carlisle, 435 E. Butterfield Road in Lombard. The evening will begin with a social gathering from 6 to 6:30 p.m. The banquet and presentation will begin at 6:30 p.m.

Fall class of 2024 inductees are:

• Charlie Klein: Outstanding Contributor – Super fan, Class of 1969

• Mike Hoerdeman: Boys Soccer Coach (1987-2004), Girls Soccer Coach (1993-2004)
  
  
• George Thoreson: Class of 1970 – Football, Basketball, Baseball
  
  
• Kim Hockett McNamara: Class of 1976 – Volleyball, Basketball, Track and Field, Badminton, Softball
  
  
• Dom Battaglia: Class of 2013 – Football, Baseball
  
  
• Matt Rowland: Class of 2016 – Wrestling

Inductees also will be recognized on Sept. 20 during the Homecoming Pep Assembly, Homecoming Parade, pre-game dinner and halftime show of the Homecoming Varsity Football Game (versus Downers Grove South).
