The Addison Trail Counseling Department’s annual College Fair took place on Sept. 13 in the commons area at the school and provided an opportunity for all students to gain exposure to the many options that await them after high school.
Nearly 60 colleges and universities attended the event, and pupils had the chance to speak with representatives from those institutions and obtain information about campus life and various majors. To see a list of the schools that attended the fair, go to https://dupage88.net/site/public/files/?item=7014.
The focus of that event is not just to assist upperclassmen with the college decision and application process, but also to help underclassmen realize the importance of thinking about and planning for life after high school. The goal is to help make sure students are prepared to discuss their future plans with their counselor and parents/guardians.
District 88 is committed to providing multiple and flexible pathways for students to ensure they are college and career ready and continues to partner with colleges/universities and local businesses to enhance these opportunities. District 88 has implemented several initiatives to expand available pathways and create more individualized options for students. For details, go to https://www.dupage88.net/site/page/15285.
