Willowbrook senior Amelia Tortorici was selected to sing “The Star-Spangled Banner” during the Illinois Music Education Association (ILMEA) District 9 Senior Concert Festival on Nov. 12.
Students who earned the top score in each voice section auditioned for this opportunity, and Tortorici was selected as the soloist (from about 250 total students).
