District 88 Assistant Superintendent and Willowbrook parent earn ISBE Those Who Excel Awards

On Oct. 20, District 88 Assistant Superintendent Jean Barbanente and parent of Willowbrook alumni Elaine Ebeling were honored by the Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE) as recipients of the Those Who Excel Award.

That program recognizes individuals who have made significant contributions to Illinois public and nonpublic elementary and secondary schools. Barbanente earned an Award of Meritorious Service (the second-highest award level presented) in the Administrator category, and Ebeling earned an Award of Meritorious Service in the Community Volunteer category.
