District 88 continues to ensure health and well-being of students and staff during winter months

At District 88, the safety and well-being of students and staff is the No. 1 priority. And winter means the Buildings and Grounds crews are stepping up ensuring air quality and the daily sanitization of the district’s buildings.

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention website (www.cdc.gov/flu/about/season/flu-season.htm), “Most of the time, flu activity peaks between December and February …” Below are steps District 88 is taking for the health of students and staff this season.

  1. Frequently cleaning classroom desks, common areas and cafeteria tables with disinfecting wipes or soap and water
  2. Spraying an aerosol disinfectant to help clean classrooms
  3. Continuously disinfecting door handles, locker handles/locks and restrooms (walls, floors and plumbing fixtures)
  4. Placing hand sanitizer dispensers at all classroom entrances

District 88 continuously monitors the sanitization and cleanliness of its facilities to provide the best environment possible.
