During its Oct. 31 meeting, the District 88 Board of Education thanked Addison Trail Principal Michael Bolden and Willowbrook Principal Dan Krause, along with their teams, for their leadership and vision in honor of National Principals Month. As administrators, they put in countless hours to continue to improve District 88 and build futures for students.

The Illinois Principals Association declared the month of October 2016 as National Principals Month in coordination with the efforts of the National Association of Elementary School Principals, the American Federation of School Administrators and the National Association of Secondary School Principals, working with the U.S. Congress. The week of Oct. 16 through 22, 2016, also was proclaimed as Principals Week and Oct. 21, 2016, as Principals Day in Illinois by Governor Bruce Rauner. The Board will present a resolution during its Nov. 14 meeting in recognition of those events.

The villages of Addison, Lombard and Villa Park also recognized Bolden and Krause by providing resolutions and posting messages on their marquees/local cable stations. District 88 is fortunate to have incredible leaders and amazing teams at its schools. Addison Trail and Willowbrook students achieve tremendous accomplishments as a result of our partnerships – it takes a dedicated and passionate staff, a knowledgeable Board of Education, engaged students and involved parents/guardians and community members.

Thank you to all District 88 stakeholders for helping our students succeed inside the classroom and beyond.
