At District 88, the safety and wellbeing of our students and staff is our No. 1 priority.
As part of that commitment, we have partnered with the Young Hearts for Life® (YH4L) Cardiac Screening Program, a not-for-profit organization affiliated with Advocate Charitable Foundation, to offer free electrocardiograms (ECGs) to identify high school students at risk for heart conditions.
According to YH4L, each week, sudden cardiac death claims the lives of more than 60 young adults in the U.S. YH4L has been a leader in the medical community to address this problem in the Chicago area. This is a wonderful program to ensure our students are healthy, and we’re happy to offer this opportunity. Edward-Elmhurst Healthcare is sponsoring these events, and we thank them for their support.
